Updated – [Reopened] Path diversion at Mytholme Beck

Following a comment received on this post, I'm delighted to confirm that the bridge has now been rebuilt and the path is now reopened.

Work was conducted by the Bradford Countryside and Rights of Way department sometime during Autumn/Winter 2020.

Temporary closure of Public Footpath 232 Bingley

This public footpath is currently closed on public safety grounds as the footbridge has been washed away.

The Council intends to replace the footbridge as soon as possible within existing resources and priorities.

This notice is currently posted on both sides of the path. The path is closed and gates are padlocked. It's dated 12th August 2020.

Mytholme Beck path closure notice

Notice found at both side of path crossing Mytholme Beck near Harden.

This path is located near Bingley Garden Centre joining Harden Lane to Sandy Banks.

There is no official diversion in place but it’s easy enough to go round Harden Lane and Sandy Banks to avoid the closed path – see Google Map.

We have walks on the website affected by this closure and have now added this diversion in the description.
