Temporary closure of Public Footpath 232 Bingley
This public footpath is currently closed on public safety grounds as the footbridge has been washed away.
The Council intends to replace the footbridge as soon as possible within existing resources and priorities.
This notice is currently posted on both sides of the path. The path is closed and gates are padlocked. It's dated 12th August 2020.
Below are some pictures of the path closure:

This path is located near Bingley Garden Centre joining Harden Lane to Sandy Banks.
There is no official diversion in place but it’s easy enough to go round Harden Lane and Sandy Banks to avoid the closed path – see Google Map.
We have walks on the website affected by this closure and have now added this diversion in the description.
Walk Title | Which section affected? |
---|---|
A ramble in the Harden Valley | Sandy Banks to Harden Lane |
St Ives and the Black Hills | Harden Lane to Sandy Banks |

There is now a brand new bridge in place and the path is open.

Thanks Tom for the heads-up and that’s great news. I’ll update the post in due course!
