What's happening at the Bingley Christmas Tree Festival?
Last year, trees were decorated to represent historical events or present day life in the town e.g. the opening of the Leeds/Liverpool canal, the development of the railways, the Suffragette Movement, the Industrial Revolution, textiles, Bingley Music Live, Bingley Show, and the Arts in Bingley.
“The general theme was ‘Celebrating 500 years’ as this year was the 500th anniversary of the present church building"
It was a great success and many people came to visit all the different trees and participate in the event. Bingley Walkers are Welcome had their own tree (see picture). This year we are coming back and participating in this great community event!
