Bradford on Foot for UK City of Culture

posted in: The Editor's Blog | 0

As part of the Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture celebration, there will be an initiative called “Bradford on Foot“, an exciting series of curated walking tours celebrating our District.

These will be carefully chosen by local walking enthusiasts, historians, school groups, artists, and Bradford residents. And yes, Bingley Walkers are Welcome have been asked to help.

In April 2025, you’ll have 25 diverse trails to explore which will reveal unique perspectives on the city and its surrounding areas and help walkers discover Bradford like never before—from tucked-away streets and lesser-known spots to the expansive landscapes beyond.

You'll be able to choose how you’d like to experience Bradford: either do it yourself and download the routes to your device or pick up a free paper map. Or if you prefer company, join one of the special guided tours held throughout the year and share the journey with others.

Bradford on Foot will be available for free starting from April 2025 and we will keep you informed as soon as the programme of guided walks is available.

Bradford Millenium Way 2025

In 2025, various walking groups have collaborated to present a series of 16 circular walks inspired by the Bradford Millennium Way, first introduced 25 years ago. These walks will occur on Saturdays every three weeks from January to November 2025 as part of a contribution to the Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture programme.
