New boardwalk near Bradford & Bingley rugby fields

For many locals, this won't be news but we thought we should have a permanent record for it in our website. Since the devastating floods of February 2020, many paths in the area had been damaged and we are very pleased to see that after a few years most of them are back to their former glory. Some of them have been improved and the path along the River Aire behind the Bradford & Bingley rugby fields is definitely one of them. What used to be a rather dangerous and muddy path dangling above the river bank, is now a fully boarded walk away from the falling bank. The old dangerous path has now been removed and new saplings have been planted in order to consolidate the bank. Let's hope nature will be kind next time and the boarded walk will survive the next floodings!

A brand new boardwalk

Bellow are pictures of the new boardwalk at the back of B&B rugby fields. Thank you to Bradford Council’s Countryside and Rights of Way Service team for getting this sorted! It's now a really pleasant walk!
