When: Sunday 9th August – 10:00am |
Meet: Outside Bingley Arts Centre |
A word from your Walk Leader, Cedric:
On this two hours walk we will discover the immediate countryside surrounding Bingley. Even though building development have sprung in Eldwick and Gilstead in recent years, there are still many beauty spots to uncover!
Starting along the canal up to the wonders of the Five Rise Locks, we will soon walk up the hill towards Lady Lane using snickets running along beautiful gardens. Then we will admire the view from above Eldwick and walk towards the Acorn Inn and the quiet Saltaire Road – which is a real delight along the slow flowing Load Pit Beck. From there we will start our way back to Bingley, going through Gilstead and admiring once more the Aire Valley on top of “Gilstead Craggs”. Before returning to refreshments in town.
What do you need?

Loved the walk today. It’s a pity I have to wait a month for the next!

Thanks Heather for your comment! And sorry for the late reply. Next walk is in less than 2 weeks now 🙂
