A word from your Walk Leader, Ronda:

queenThere will be a two hour walk starting out in Bingley on Sunday June 12th and Ronda Christensen our walk leader will decide the exact route of the walk nearer the time.

However, in celebration of the Queen’s 90th Birthday we are making this a  RED WHITE BLUE  WALK so why not wear a scarf, hat, whatever you like in celebration of this special occasion.  Hopefully this walk will open your appetite before one of the Big Lunch events organised throughout the district and alongside the Patron’s Lunch event in London.

So on this occasion, we will do a stop off at the Mercure Bankfield which is organising a garden party to celebrate both their 70th anniversary and the Queen’s Birthday. There will be stalls, children’s entertainment, food & drink. You can even bring along your own picnic & picnic blanket!

Note: for those who don’t want to stay at Bankfield, there will be a walk leader who can take you back to Bingley.

What do you need?

Optional: Wear something red, white and blue and bring your picnic for the garden party at Mercure Bankfield

Bring liquid refreshment and wear walking boots.

Why not linger a while in Bingley after the walk and have lunch or a drink in one of the welcoming cafés which are open on a Sunday. Most of them now display our “Walkers are Welcome " stickers in their windows.
