Bird Walks at St Ives Estate

Here is an exciting guided bird walk organised in Bingley St Ives Estate this Spring by the Airedale & Bradford RSPB local group. It is led by Mark Doveston, a local naturalist and bird expert.

Guided Bird Walks Spring 2026

Please note: Children are welcome but dogs will hinder our chances of getting close to the birds. Open to all and free of charge.

Dull clothing and rough terrain footwear is recommended as the walk will go ahead whatever the weather.

Down Chorus Morning walk

Planned to introduce non-birders to birds in St.Ives Estate, when the birds are at their best, the walks start at 7.00am at the gateway to Coppice Pond and follow the footpath clockwise around the estate ending full circle back at the pond.

The walk can take up to 3 hours depending upon weather and the birds. It will take place in all weathers so please come ready for the conditions with suitable footwear.
