Bingley’s cultural scene is set to burst into life this year with Bingley 25 — a vibrant, three-day festival of creativity, community, and heritage taking place over the May bank holiday weekend (May 3–5, 2025).
The event is the culmination of over a year’s collaboration between local community groups, coordinated under the Bingley Creates! initiative. From heritage and arts to music and outdoor activities, the festival celebrates everything that makes Bingley unique.
Saturday, May 3 kicks off with a focus on Bingley’s rich heritage. Visitors can explore local history displays and storytelling at Damart Mill and Myrtle Park, including an exhibition of 1960s Bingley photographs.
Sunday, May 4 is all about arts and crafts. With over 30 local artists exhibiting in six venues, plus workshops, stalls, and hands-on activities at Bingley Arts Centre, the town will be buzzing with creativity.
Monday, May 5 celebrates the great outdoors with our own Bingley Celebration of Walking including an Arts Walk and a Cottingley Fairies trail. As well as our event, there will be a skateboarding jam in Myrtle Park and local sports try-outs.
The weekend also features canal boat traders, heritage bell ringing, community theatre, live ukulele music, and even a graffiti-style mural in the park — thanks to the Do Your Thing micro-grant awards supporting grassroots projects across the Bradford district.
With support from Bingley Town Council and major grants like the Creative Communities Fund, Bingley 25 promises to be more than just a weekend — it’s the start of a year-round celebration of local talent, culture, and connection.
