During research on the Knights Templars in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. I came across your photograph of markings above the doorway of a building in Beckfoot, Bingley. Where is this building and what is its use today? Have you any information on the Templars in Bingley or the Bradford area?
Hi Dave! Thanks for your comment. This building is located near Beckfoot Packhorse Bridge where the Harden Beck meets the River Aire in Bingley. It’s on the other side of Myrtle Park and can be accessed via Beckfoot Lane. It’s currently in a bad shape unfortunately and it has been boarded up behind a fence. Not far away from the building is “Templar Cottage” which is currently a household. I’ve sent your comment to some member of our committee who may have more knowledge about the Templars in the area. We will get back to you directly by email. Thank you very much.
Dave Welbourne.
