In 2013, Baildon was granted the esteemed “Walkers are Welcome" status, a recognition attributed to its idyllic countryside setting and the abundance of diverse walking routes suitable for all. Since becoming a part of the national “Walkers are Welcome" network, the Baildon Walkers are Welcome group has been ardently promoting and encouraging walking in the picturesque Baildon countryside. Now, a decade later, they will be commemorating the 10th anniversary of Baildon's revered status as a “Walkers are Welcome" Town.
The passionate efforts of the Baildon Walkers are Welcome group have left an indelible mark on the community, fostering a culture of walking and outdoor exploration. Their dedication has resulted in numerous events and walking guides, enticing both local residents and visitors to partake in the beauty of nature.
